Gadget of the month: iPod Nano Watch Band

iPod Nano Watch Band

You’ve seen iPods transformed into everything from earrings to tongue piercings (all jokes, presumably), but thanks to the new design of the iPod Nano, one concept has actually come to fruition. Check out the iPod Nano watch bands, wristbands that are designed to neatly accommodate an iPod Nano onto the center of it.

iLoveHandles, which currently only carries one product, the said Nano watch band. You can grab one of these for about $20, or check out the more colorful (and cheaper) ones at CountryComm, ranging from $9 to $22.

Granny robs men at Soweto mall

A granny, believed to be working for a syndicate, has allegedly robbed two people of money a shopping mall in Soweto, the New Age reported on Friday.

“A granny with a walking stick has been accused of robbing at least two shoppers at a mall after duping them into helping her carry heavy bags from her car,” the newspaper wrote.

The robberies happened at the Maponya Mall, in Soweto, last week.

An 18-year old man who fell victim to the woman and her two accomplices told the newspaper a young man had approached him while he was standing in a queue to deposit money at a bank.

The man asked him to help carry his granny's bag from his car. He obliged, but when he got to the car a gun was pressed to his head.

He was forced into the car where the granny and another man were waiting.

After driving around for a while, they took R1 200 from him and released him.

He went back to the mall and reported the incident to the security guards.

While he was in the security control room, another man entered to report that he had also been robbed by two men and a granny.

The two victims then went to Kliptown police station to report the incidents.

Captain Nondumiso Mpantsha confirmed that a case of theft was opened last week but could not provide any more details. - Sapa
